Rock-N-Roll Ribs Anniversary

Hello my lovelies and welcome to Rock-N-Roll Ribs 4 year Anniversary!

Yes, can you believe it’s been four years since Nicko McBrain and company opened this amazing rib joint?  Now I know what you might be thinking, “They do well because one of the owners is the drummer from Iron Maiden.”  And you would be correct in thinking that brings the fans out, but what you don’t know is the food is so phenomenal that you would come anyway.

The place is not large so when the boys throw party of this magnitude it spills over into the parking lot!  You can hang out, eat great food, and enjoy live music from some local bands and Nicko’s very own McBrainiacs!

Everyone at the restaurant is friendly and welcoming and even though it has an overwhelming Iron Maiden theme it is 100% for everyone and anyone who loves ribs, pulled pork, pulled beef, chicken, steak, burgers, or if you are brave enough the cheese filled-bacon wrapped-deep fried-foot long hot dog.

This year NIcko partnered with the S.O.S. Children’s Villages of Florida, a foster care neighborhood in Coconut Creek, Florida, on a tree-lined street with twelve houses, and home to up to seventy-five boys and girls. Their goal is to keep brothers and sisters in foster care together, and they have programs to help transition the 18 and older kids who have been in their care.  Rock-N-Roll Ribs asked on their website for folks to bring new unwrapped toys for kids under 12 and gift cards for teens.  But, Nicko went one step further and broke out poster sized pictures he was signing for a donation to the S.O.S. Children’s Village!  Win-Win for the fans and the kids at S.O.S.!!!

Realtor Charitable Foundation lends Santa a Hand

‘Twas the Saturday before Christmas and Realtor Charitable Foundation members were stirring like elves in Santa’s workshop!

Turns out the folks at Realtor Charitable Foundation make it a point to give Santa a hand at Christmas, you know as honorary elves.  They have adopted a community in Fort Lauderdale and they find out from Santa’s list who’s been naughty and who’s been nice.  As you can imagine it’s quite exciting when the elves show up with carts of presents for the kids,

but the real showstopper of course is SANTA CLAUS!!!

Every child gets a couple of presents directly from Santa himself!

The fine elves at Realtor Charitable Foundation don’t stop at bringing a very merry Christmas to these kids either.  They have plans to expand the outdoor play area too so the kids can have fun all year round. If you want to help out too click here.

Let’s hear a big round of applause for Santa and his elves with the Realtor Charitable Foundation and let’s not forget our own Ray from Real Memories Photography & Films who donated his time and services and broke out the onsite printer so the kids and their parents could have some great prints with Santa.

Nicko McBrain’s Custom Jaguar

If you were designing your own Jaguar what would you do?

Custom seating? Rims?  Steering wheel?

Now what if you were the drummer from Iron Maiden, now what would you do?

Hold that image in your head for a moment…

THIS IS WHAT NICKO MCBRAIN DID!

Ok wipe the drool off your chin. This car was designed for Nicko by Jaguar with special attention to details that scream Iron Maiden.

The Iron Maiden font is everywhere in this car!

All I can say is that Real Memories Photography & Films was honored to be there with the man himself to get these shots for Nicko and Jaguar.  And doubly thrilled to have our own Ray Clerie as the first official passenger for a ride with Nicko!

Can’t you just feel the love?  Just look at these two crazy kids!  Meet Kathleen and Andrew, and welcome to their engagement shoot.  The only backdrop that could compare to the beauty of this couple is a fabulous South Florida sunrise.  This stunning and amazing location is one of the best places you can be in December.

Real Memories Photography has the singular honor of being their wedding photographer and this is the setting they’ve chosen for their engagement shoot.  They’re so much fun that there is no doubt the wedding will be incredible.

Hillcrest Memorial Park’s 21st Annual Candlelight Remembrance Service

One of the most remarkable memorial ceremonies I have ever had the honor to be included in.  Hillcrest Memorial Park in West Palm Beach celebrated their 21^st annual Candlelight and Remembrance Service on December 9^th.  The beauty and tranquility of the luminaria were amazing, the entire grounds were covered with them.  The sight of that many luminaria reaching off into the horizon as far as the eye could see was awe inspiring.  They truly put together an uplifting tribute that was joyous.  Even if you have not lost a loved one, if you know someone who has, I recommend coming to next years ceremony.  Moving and Beautiful!

Talk about a Fairy Tale Wedding!  Once upon a time a beautiful young woman and her prince charming, gathered their family and friends in the Florida Keys to witness their love and the joining of their hearts and souls in marriage.  David and Kasandra’s choice of such a romantic location made a joyful celebration even more memorable, the sounds of the surf gently lapping at the shoreline, the sun setting just after their vows… *sigh*

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Hasenauer, may your life together be filled with sweetness, joy, love and laughter.

Great June Gatherings!

June was quite a month! Dance School Wrap Party, Piano Recitals, Graduation Parties, Baby Showers, etc. BUSY, BUSY, BUSY.

What can I say about the students and instructors from Jewel’s Dance Studio? They are exuberant, exciting, entertaining, and generally just fun to be around. The energy they filled the hall at Maggiono’s with was palpable. And with Jesse Coursey spinning in the DJ booth the dancing went on well into the evening.

As for Susan Merritt’s students they obviously love both the piano and their instructor. They were phenomenal and inspiring see a clip here. This is where every student hoping to excel at piano in the Palm Beach area should go for lessons! Every one of you deserves a standing ovation, job well done. We’d like to offer a very special Congrats to Julian, you made it you’ve graduated! (Love the “cupcake” cake, yummy and no cutting necessary) Congratulations to all of the Graduates out there, you are ALL awesome!

Finally, to our soon to be Mommy and Daddy, what a great shower. We hope you are thrilled with all the gifts and goodies for the baby, and that you felt the love of all your friends and family. We can’t wait to meet your daughter sometime near the end of July.

 

Francesca’s Video Shoot

South Florida is truly lucky to be the hometown to this amazing singing sensation. Francesca has more than a stunning voice she has the presence and poise of a much more seasoned entertainer. Of course it may be genetic (at least partly) her mother is also well known in Palm Beach, if you have had the pleasure of seeing The Monique McCall Band perform you know what I mean. I’m so excited to see what this young lady is going to do!

Panic Disorder at Original Fat Cats 5/21/11

Do you suffer from anxiety and stress?  Have people suggested you find a way to relax?  I have two words for you…. Panic Disorder.  No that’s not a diagnosis (I’m not a doctor and I don’t play one on tv) Panic Disorder (the band) is a sure fire way to unwind, come out and see them especially if you’re stressed out, they have so much fun on stage it’s contagious!

Panic rocked the house on Saturday at Original Fat Cats along with Rebel who started the night off with their crazy good original sound.  Wait…  you say you missed the show at Fat Cats?  Great news, the holiday weekend is almost upon us and Panic Disorder is on stage Friday 5/27 at the Sunset Grill in the Seminole Coconut Creek Casino and Saturday 5/28 at World of Beer in Coconut Creek.  You’ll have to wait till 6/4 to get a fix of Rebel though at Kill Your Idol in Miami.

Dinka Designs Fashion Show @ Gallery 101

When fashion is done right it’s truly an art form.  So it was appropriate that Diana Kramer, designer and owner of Dinka Designs, Inc. showcased her collection at Gallery 101 in Fort Lauderdale’s trendy North Beach Art District. There was quite a crowd at the gallery Saturday May 7th browsing the artwork, especially Robin White’s “Glamour Girls” but the place was downright packed when the models strutted out in Dinka Designs at both the 8pm and 9:30pm shows.  Spotted in the crowd perusing the art and viewing the fashions was local model Lacey Wild. If you are a fashionista and you missed this amazing event you’re in luck my friends! Dinka Designs next show is taking place at DeLux Night Club in Delray Beach, Wednesday May 25th from 9pm through 2am.  Come out dance, mingle, get your fashion fix and help raise money for Japanese Tsunami relief.
